partay

i was at a fun birthday party with a number of peeps from the local scene. what a pleasure it was to find this in the kitchen. there is no better tool to use for opening a wine bottle than the campagnolo corkscrew. i've put off getting one for many years (they are quite pricey) but i will delay no more.

I loved that bottle opener from the moment I got it, every wine drinker should have one.

I believe Quality Bicycles sell the bottle openers. Thank you Ortiz. Glad you had fun, Conrad, thanks for the vino, can't wait to try. Can you email me the pic?

See... I'd try using the toothpicks before I could figure out that fancy contraption.

yo adrian, the MWC can order you one from QBP. they come in bronze and silver (retail ~$200-250). they make a slightly smaller version (for taking on picnics) called the micro, in red or black, and it's about $120.

nothing like using a $250 cork screw to open a $9 bottle of wine that you bought after riding to the store on your converted schwinn varsity with the phil wood wheelset

CC_Rider - Thanks man. Yikes-I guess those Italians are quite proud of their products.
But I guess if you drink wine like we do (about 2 bottles a week) it could be paid for in no time :-).
