local bike hobbiest guy richard brought this in. it's an old trek frame that he had custom plated locally. i think he calls this one 'penny'.

hooked up with gina and lis again, we went for some vietnamese food on N. 27th at pho nguyenn. gina was rocking her new helmet.

met up with gina (aka supah G) downtown for some beers at yiayia's with lis. afterwards we headed over to la mex for some good food. nice socks there supah G.

doing a lap around the lake and avery breaks out some sport beans. i mooched some off her ofcourse.

i hooked up with avery for a ride tonight, we ended up riding up to branched oak lake for a lap.

lazy tuesday

this cold blast has made me lazy.... which means it's a good time to stay inside and work on bikes. i'm resurrecting celestina with some new parts.

sat night at the B & N

out enjoying the nice evening. i rode to the B&N to get my dose of magazine reading in (cyclesport, velonews... and a few art, photo, and design mags thrown in for good measure).

we love indian food

after eating a delicious dinner at the tandoor we made our way home. there's no better way to spend a late afternoon than to be on bikes with friends for a few hours and then going for some great food and drink afterwards. thanks to lis for calling us out for a ride today.

old silo

we had planned to get a few beers at the roca tavern but when we got there we were surprised to find that it was closed. bummer. we were hungry so we headed back to lincoln in search of some good food (indian cuisine was the unanimous choice). but before leaving roca we saw this cool looking old silo nearby and decided to check it out. lis and gina waited while brent and i had a closer look.

lis, gina, and brent and i headed out in the afternoon to enjoy the weather, and perhaps reward ourselves with a few beers in roca.

my good friend kate came into town to visit and she brought her bianchi too. we saddled up and headed downtown to meet up with some other gfs on bikes and hit some galleries.

with these mild temps the black campus wild kitty can now be seen in it's natural environment more often. one of these nights if this little guy lets me get close enough i'm gonna grab him and take him home with me.

quesadilla grande

after the bars close there is no better place to grab a bite with friends than el chaparro (on south 13th and F). my personal fav is the quesadilla grande. jennie and mart had the same. mart is from belgium and he was eager to try out some good mexican food. turns out that he's also a friend of bart wellens. super cool!
