N. 27th

i had to run up to menard's on n.27th. even though the sprall along there might not provide the greatest scenery, when you're on a bike you can still appreciate how nice of an evening it was.

maiden voyage

the new steed got to hangout with all the other bikes at platte today. i had just finished wrapping the bars @ 530am and headed out to catch up with showen and the boys. i would not recommend doing 70+ miles of gravel and b-roads for a maiden voyage but that's what i did. i lucked out though, as the bike rode extremely well. nothing rattled loose, the lockring stayed put, and my position was dialed in pretty close from the get-go.

showen was pretty slow so we made a rest stop at one of the bridges.

i got 3 hours sleep last night, if that, but said f*ck it and went on the bacon ride anyways. i was damn tired and the ride wasn't easy, but i still had a good time.

we're cruising fast through the park, i'm behind big dave in the lead group, and then BANG!... and the bead on big dave's rear tire was no more. johnny T also had rear tire isues at the first bridge.

horchata

i did about 45 miles on the gios earlier, and after a shower and a nap... i went for some mexican food. i finished it off with some nice cold horchata.

jamaica

it was a nice evening but i wasn't in the mood for a road ride. so i dusted off the BUSS and rode out on the jamaica trail to check out the old railroad bridge.

the fob

i headed up north to branched oak on sunday. i should have got my ass up earlier instead of waiting until the afternoon when the wind picked up, because the headwind was killer. but fortunately i ran into jim (aka the fob) just north of malcom, so we traded off pulls around the lake.

i'm not a morning person but...

last night wasn't too exciting which meant i was able to get up early enough to join some peeps on the wilderness perk ride this morning.
