i put on my bat ears and headed on over to a party. there were all types of shenanigans going on. guys in dresses riding bikes, thats so overdone these days isn't it?

went up north to branched oak for some laps. on the way i stopped for coffee at the bait shop, and a cute grey kitty came by. he wouldn't come close enough for me pet him though.

on my way back on the jamaica i had to stop at one of the bridges for a moment to wait for an odd looking kitty cat to leave the bridge.

james came into the shop after the game, he was pretty bummed out. the husks lost a close one, but james wins in my book for wearing that outfit in the cold temps for 3+ hours.

60 degrees

headed out for a nice 40-50 miles, and it was suprisingly warm, about 60 degrees as i left town. knickers are almost too warm for that temp, but i didn't overheat. from here on out gloves, thermal cap, and full tights will probably necessary because the snow will arrive any day now.

had to hook up with all the peeps out at the usual spot for some afternoon fun. everyone is ready for tonight's shenanigans. even lincoln's original karate monkey girl made it into town for the festivities. was great to see you emily!

friday the 13th

a night ride, and it was cold out there. cycling shoes aren't the best for keeping feet warm so freezing toes were the most common complaint. but we managed somehow.

i was coming out of wilderness heading back on 14th st, and had to wait for the train. it was a coollld night for a ride. with the wind it felt 35 or so... brrr

hooked up with janna and kim this afternoon in wilderness park. i put them through a bit of 'stream crossing 101'. thanks for the fun time ladies.

tgif part deux: arte en la noche

rode my bike downtown to check out some first friday openings. there was some animation here, and a few sculpture installations there. the most interesting being thought farmer's E3 with huskernaut. i also took in a bit of roller derby action to round out the night.

we were losing light fast, so we headed back from roca. janna wanted me to take a picture of her. after seeing this pic, i can now see why they called her 'da terminator' back in her college hoops days. oh the intensity... i'm shaking in my sidis.

signs of fall

it was like 89 degrees on the ride tonight, but you know it's fall when big man kevin burke shows up on his cross bike. yep, cross season is about to begin.
