'never again during the remainder of his journey to San Francisco would he equal or surpass this day's eighty-eight-mile effort. furthermore, never again on the trip would he encounter roads as fine as those he met in the Cornhusker state. riding through Wyoming and every state or territory thereafter, Nellis would long for the "excellent paths" of Nebraska.' - An American Cycling Odyssey, 1887

We must have been about 5 minutes behind you or before you cuz I heard a train go by when we stopped at Wildernest 14th st. parking lot and then we saw a train go by as we toddled along Jamaica back to Old Cheney.
BTW- Barb passed on the Stream Crossing 101 class like a pro.
Janna was a wonder on those stream crossings...no fear! Gravy was a natural, as was Jason. As for me...yeah, I crossed them. Next time, I will get up those hills too, without getting off of my bike.
